This unique döner kebab flavor, introduced to Turkish cuisine by Mehmet's son İskender approximately 150 years ago, has been prepared and presented to its fans by family members under the İskender brand and in accordance with its essence for 4 generations. While İskender grandfather worked with his middle son Süleyman in the first shop in Kayhan Bazaar, which is currently being converted into a museum, he opened the first branch on Bursa - Atatürk Street with his eldest son Nurettin.
oday, the legacy of İskender Dede lives on—faithfully carried forward by the children and grandchildren of Süleyman İskenderoğlu. For four generations, this unique flavor has been passed down with the same care, the same passion, and the same warmth of family. Under the İSKENDER name, it continues to serve not just kebab to the table, but a tradition, a soul, and a story.
